The funniest things...

The boys are always doing and saying the funniest things.  I wish I could remember them all.  Andrew likes to say "I need too much" instead of "I need more."  I guess he has heard me say "that is too much."  He also likes to say "I need carry you" instead of "I need you to carry me."  I guess he hears me say "Do you need me to carry you?"  I may have already written about "chicken monkeys."  That is Will's way to say chocolate milk.

I was telling John about something that struck me as funny yesterday.  I left the room for a little bit the night before last, and the boys had a chance to get in the pantry.  Sam had the box of raisins, Andrew had the "crunchies," and Will had a can of corn.  I thought those were pretty funny choices.  The next morning, I had to leave the room again, and they made it into the pantry again.  You would think that they might go for something else with all of the choices in the pantry, but no.  They had the exact same items.  For whatever reason, they were really happy with those particular items.  I got a good laugh!

Walmart shopping

I has a few errands to run today, and I don't usually take the boys.  There is definitely a good reason for that.  They were pretty ruthless at the Walmart, and I ended up leaving with only half of my list and a few things (Dora toothbrushes and Spiderman crackers) that were not on my list.  I tried to get out of there pretty quick, once I realized they were about to melt down.  We chose Walmart, since it was walking distance to Chick-fil-a.  That seemed liked an easier option than loading them back into the car to go somewhere else.  So, we went to Chick-fil-a, and they had the time of their lives playing in the kiddie play area.  They had a few chicken nuggets and waffle fries, and then we headed home.  I am enjoying spending the day with them, before heading to MS for a little weekend visit with my mama.  Wish I could take one of the boys, but they'll get to spend the weekend with Dada this weekend!  He will love that!  He loves anytime with his little boys!  

Just a few more random thoughts--

Will, once again, found a stranger to sit with.  This cracks us up.  Last Friday, Will found an older couple and decided to crawl up in their laps and sit with them and help himself to their chips.  The couple really loved Will.  The man entertained Will for a while by spinning his wedding ring on the table.  Today will crawled up and sat with another woman and her daughter.  He gets the biggest smile on his face, and he seems to think that is what he is supposed to do.  He has yet to get turned down, and most people are pretty entertained by our social butterfly.  

The other random thoughts are about Mr. Andrew.  The other day he said "Stop Dada...don't do that...be nice!"  That always put a smile on our face, because he doesn't ever want Mama or Dada to discipline anyone.  He reminds us to always be nice!  Such a sweet Andrew!  He keeps us in line.  On another topic, he is getting really good at mimicking words and remembering things that he only hears once.  Today, we were driving around the temple, and he said  "skyscraper."  I had never head him say that.  I called John to tell him, and he said that Andrew had just learned that word last night, and that he had only heard it one time.  Good job, Doobers!

Sam is really great at repeating all of the words on his favorite cartoons.  He can say almost every words along with the person on tv.  I think he gets that from his Dada.  Wish I had that good of memory!  It would come in handy!

Mr. Will

Will certainly has a way of surprising us.  Out of the blue, he has been singing all of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the Alphabet song.  I don't think we would be so surprised if it was something that he would sing bits and pieces of every now and then.  He'll hear us sing it all the time, and just sit there listening.  Then, out of the blue he recites the whole song.  John and I look at each other with amazement.  You go, Will!

The boys had such a fun time getting in the firetruck.  The neighborhood had a party, and the firetruck stopped by for the kids.  They also had a visit from the firetruck at their school last Wednesday.  They were saying firetruck all day and making the most hilarious "honk" sound that resembled a firetruck. :)

The other day I posted a video of the boys riding their bikes.  They LOVE riding their bikes.  Now that they have picked up speed on their bikes, we knew it was past time for them to have helmets.  When I picked them up from school on Wednesday, they were very excited to see Cars helmets in their seats.  They immediately wanted to wear them and ride their bikes.  After riding their bikes, they didn't want to take off their helmets.

Oh no, it's happening....

I am getting to be terrible at the blog.  I guess life gets busy, and it's hard to set aside time to write about the precious things they do.  We've had a lot of things going on lately.  We just got back from a fun trip to MS.  I had my 20th high school class reunion.  The whole family went, and it was a lot of fun!  The boys got to go skating for the first time.  Will loved running with his skates.  Andrew loosened his wheels, so that he could roll.  It was a site to see.  The boys also had a good time riding their bikes down the driveway.  They've been doing a lot of that lately.  I need to get a better clip, but here is a small one that shows them on their bikes.  It's sideways, because I guess I didn't think about having to hold the ipad vertically.  I'll take another video soon.

The other tidbit that comes to mind is Andrew loving to say "who dat?"  He says it whenever he hears a noise that is unusual...a dog barking, a bird, or maybe someone coming through the front door.  Today he did it when he let out a little toot.  For some reason, it cracked me up.  Hopefully, that will be something that I read in years to come and get a big kick out of Mr. Andoobers!  

Hopefully, I'll get better at writing more frequently.  They do the cutest and sweetest things all the time.  I can't believe that they are three years old--such big boys!

We had lots of fun at Bouncin Bears Today!

First Day of Pre-School

I can't believe that I am sitting here without the boys.  :(  It is almost too quiet!  I am not very good at milestones, because I definitely want to shed a few tears.  However, it helped lessen the blow that Sam was so excited to go to school this morning.  He kept saying "school school" and "car car," because he wanted to get in the car.  He was saying "Mama" and pointing to my purse and diaper bag.  He has never done that before, so it was definitely what I needed to make me feel good about dropping them off for the first time.  Will and Andrew did very well, too.  They all looked so cute carrying their Cars nap mats and Spider Man lunch boxes.  I carried in their Elmo backpacks for them.  They went right in to the room, without any trouble at all.  I think they will have a great time getting to learn and play and interact with other kids.  I wasn't sure what to pack for lunch, so I packed a few things-- turkey and cheese on flatbread, pbj, grapes, string cheese, and a juice box.

After dropping off the boys, I went to Academy to pick up their shin guards and socks for their first soccer practice tomorrow.  Then, I came home for lunch.  I am looking forward to checking off a list of things while they are in pre-school, but today--I decided to take it easy.  It feels so weird to have this free time.  I hope the boys are having a great time!

Lots of excitement lately

Leen came to visit us recently, and she brought us a whole school wardrobe.  She can find a deal better than anyone out there, which means the boys get to look a lot cuter than when their mama dresses them.  They will certainly be adorable at school, and they will love all the fun things on the shirts...like CARS, dinosaurs,  and bicycles and lots of fun things!

She also gave us another great thing for school--our Spiderman lunchboxes, Cars art kits, and a Cars cameras!!!!!  We love everything Cars!

Today was our birthday party, and we had a rocket ship themed!  We also got to hit a pinata for the first time.  We got more Cars things to add to our collection along with movies and so many great toys!  Wow--we had a great birthday!!!!

Wagon Fun!

It used to be so much easier to run with the boys in the stroller.  However, wouldn't get in a wagon if I bribed them with a bag of cookies.  They love the wagon, so we do a lot of walking in the wagon.  Occasionally, I even try to run.  Today we did more of a power walk, but it's always an adventure trying to get them in the wagon.  Andrew HAS to have red.  Will loves to pull the wagon, so it can sometimes take a little coercing to get him in his seat.  Then Sam is definitely the hardest to get in any seat.  My trick is to twirl him around really fast and make him dizzy, so that I can then put him in the seat and strap him in before he sees straight.  It works every time.  I'll be just as sad to see the wagon go one day, as I was to see the stroller go.  We've had so many memories in our wagon.  It's the best!

"Chik'n n fries" is something that the boys say a lot after we leave the gym, because for special occasions we will get chicken and french fries from Burger King.  They really like this treat, so when we pass it up on the other days--they get pretty upset and sometimes yell out for "chik'n n fries."

Sam loves to procrastinate at nap time, and I usually have to lure him in with a head rub or "this little piggy."  He loves a head rub, and he has the calmest, sweetest look on his face as I am rubbing his head.  I definitely cherish those moments.  Shhh, Sam--don't tell Will and Andrew.  It's okay--Will and Andrew have their own rituals.  Will likes to run to the bed, and many times I will do "little piggy" to him or blanket over the head ten times.   Andrew likes to pretend to tuck in Froggy, and will kiss Froggy "nite nite."  

Throwing stuff behind the second row of the car is NOT my favorite.  They love to throw everything from toys, snack cups, sippy cups, nuggets, fries...you name it!  I always threaten that they will never get anymore chik' n fries, but I haven't held to that.  I have gotten better at rationing what I give them, so it doesn't end up in the back.  Uggh!

"Pillz is short for Pillsbury, which is a nickname derived from "pill, " because Will had moments of being a "pill."  Don't they all, at times!  Anyway, Pillsbury is quite the fish.  He was the first to jump off the side of the pool and the diving board.  He loves to jump  off the board multiple times, and he draws everyone's attention with his pre-muttering.  Once everyone is looking, he makes a big splash!  Go Berry (another derivative of "Pillsbury."  We have lots of nicknames, that we can't even come up with them.

Date Night

Tonight, John and I went on a date to the Perfect Cafe. John and I don't go out very often, but every time we do--we love to talk about the boys. Tonight, we talked about all the cute things that they boys do. Will does the cutest thing when we are saying prayers. He closes his eyes really tight, peeking occasionally but squinting as he peeks. He crosses his arms really tight, and he mumbles words. It is one of the cutest things ever! Andrew loves to sing. We love to listen to him singing through the baby monitor. He loves to sing "Twinkle Twinkly Little Star." It's so cute! When we tuck the boys in at night, we have gotten into a routine. I sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star while holding each one, individually. I don't sing the last word, but I make them sing the last word. When they sing the last word, I twirl them as I hold them. After I finish the song, I pass them to John--and he tucks them in to the bed. Every one gets one tuck in, because we would be tucking them in over and over again all night. Andrew stays in his bed pretty well, but Sam and Will like to keep getting out of bed. In fact, Will has a ritual of spinning around in circles before bed time. Also, the boys HAVE to have their monkey, froggy, and giraffe--especially Andrew. He loves his "woggy." Sam is still my little hugger, but he does love to steal toys. He loves giving kisses to his brothers. He gave a kiss to Will in the bathtub tonight. Sam loves his "choccamik" and "pocorn" aka chocolate milk and popcorn. We love to see when the boys do sweet things to each other. When they relinquish toys that they really like, we are so happy. Andrew loves to say, "Are you okay, Mama?" when he thinks that I am hurt. It is the sweetest thing. Today Andrew tried to help Sam put on his shoes, because he knew that Sam wanted his shoes. Andrew was determined to get them on his feet. Will has the cutest raspy laugh. There's nothing better than hearing all the boys laughing! They have gotten really good at counting. Their favorite time to count is when they do another night time ritual. We put all the bed buddies on the fan, and then count to 10 and say "BLASTOFF!" Then John turns on the fan, and they howl with laughter. Before John can even turn off the fan, the boys have already thrown the bed buddies back into the fan. You have to duck pretty quickly before getting pegged in the head with a stuffed animal. Priceless! JOhn and I are trying to think of other things, and we started talking about how Andrew always gets a specific seat whether it be the wagon or the car seat. He is determined to get "his" seat. He always does. With that said, he is very good at sharing and is always saying "here ya go" and sharing with his brothers. Sometimes he shares so freely that he gets a little sad when he realizes he shared what he really wanted to himself. I wish I could think of more things. THere are so many things that happen everyday. That's all for the moment. LOVE our sweethearts!

Boys on the set...

The commercial was for Ashley Furniture, and the title of the spot was "Triple the Savings."

The boys had their first experience on the set of a commercial, today.  They did a great job!  They even gave them their favorite toys at the end--Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater!!!  I was really happy that they were willing to cooperate.  I'll try to post the spot, once I get a copy.

Also, we had a fantastic time in Galveston.  I'll post pictures, soon!

Yesterday, the boys had fun playing with markers.  Sam had the most fun drawing all over his face.  He had the marker up his nose and in his ears--eek!  I'll definitely post some pictures of that, soon.  They are definitely a work out to their mama, but they are precious!
This is random, but I can't remember if I posted that Will loves to wear shoes at nap time.  He refuses to take them off of his feet.  They all love to have the blanket brushed across their face while I count to ten.  They will do anything to stall going down for bed or for nap.

Happy Birthday to Leen!

Happy Birthday to Leen today!  I have the most wonderful mother in the world!  I couldn't have asked for a better mama!!  I hope she has a wonderful day today!  

The boys LOVE to talk to Leen on the phone, and when they see my earpiece in--they run to talk to Leen.  Even when they are using their toy phones, they say "Leen," because that's the only person they associate with a phone.  I think it's pretty cute.

-Now for a couple of random notes about the boys...

-I can't remember if I said that they boys call an elephant and "open it."  Also, they all love to say "hey mama hey dada hey mama hey dada hey mama hey dada" over and over.  It's pretty funny.  

-When Andrew is getting tickled, or if he is laughing really hard--he will bite his arm.  It's very funny!

-They love to sleep with their frog ("woggy"), giraffe, and monkey that their Aunt Missy and Cousin Kenz gave them.  They have had them since they were little babies, and they were bought for the purpose of propping up their bottle.  Many times, Andrew will be caught holding the frog up to his nose.  That usually means he is tired, but I think he does it to soothe himself, too.

-They still love to be "tuckin in."

-Right before their bedtime, they do "run run run," which is running up the stairs and back and forth down the hall.

-Will is the only one that will not let you tuck him in at night.  He likes to spin around in circles in the dark before tucking himself in to bed.

-THEY ARE PRECIOUS!

Bye Bye Stroller...I will miss you!

Bye bye to our wonderful and fabulous triple decker stroller!  :(  It feels like I have said goodbye to a dear friend.  I have used the triple decker stroller almost everyday, since the boys came home.  (sigh)  I have been holding on to it for several months now, just in case we needed it.  However, the boys have truly outgrown it.  They prefer to be in the choo-choo wagon and pretty much hate the stroller.  I guess they have gotten to be big boys.  So, we were happy to pass it along to Victoria, another triplet mom.  She has a 8 month old triplets in addition to her 2 yr. old and 6 yr. old.  Wow--I am impressed!  So, as sad as I was to see the stroller go (maybe even a couple of tears)--I was happy to see someone else put it to good use.  Ahh--milestones are too hard!

Random note of the day--Will LOVES to sleep in his Cars shoes.  He refuses to take them off.
Oh, and I almost forgot to say that they boys went to their first movie yesterday--Kung Fu Panda.  They did pretty well.  I was impressed that they stayed as long as they did.  I look forward to taking them to the next free summer movie--The Smurfs.

We may go to the zoo this weekend.  It keeps getting postponed, so I don't want to jinx it.

One of these days...

One of these days I will add pictures to all of the posts.  May I get a personal assistant please?  My good friend, Melissa, was saying how easy it is to take pictures these days and how hard it is to find the time to organize all of them!  I second that!  In minutes we can take 200 pictures on our camera, and all I can think is how in the world will I be able to pick the best ones.  I am terrible at doing that, because I always think they are all good--even the fuzzy ones!  So, then I end up with an overload of pictures.  haha!  I even like the pictures that the boys take that are of the ceiling, because I think to myself, "Awww, the boys took that picture."  It's pretty pathetic.  I have gotten better at deleting those, but it's still hard.

I took a little time to upload some pictures today, and I made a few collages of the boys at the pool.  The pictures may be too small in collage form, but again--I had a hard time narrowing down the best pictures.

Random thoughts...

We've had quite a week.  We've all had the stomach bug, except John.  However, John was unfortunate to have a stiff neck/back.  We're all happy to be on the mend, now.  We had a nice Father's Day weekend.  John requested hoagies for dinner, and that was a relief for me.  I am not so good in the kitchen, but I can handle a sandwich. :)  We also had some yummy bagels from Panera for breakfast.  As always, I miss him sweet Dad on that day.

John and I always get so many laughs from the boys, but it's hard to remember to jot them down.  Here are some random thoughts off the top of my head...

• They love to say "tuckin-in" which means that they want to be tucked in to bed.  One day Sam said it repeatedly for about 5 minutes straight.  John said he was going to go crazy, but it is so cute!
• "openit" means "elephant."  That is another favorite word.
• They are very good at saying "thank you," "you're welcome," and "bless you."
• Recently, they learned how to jump off the side of the pool into the pool, and they love it!  Will was the first to try, and he is still the bravest with jumping off the side of the pool.  The others are getting pretty good, too.  Sam is the most hesitant, but I can hardly blame him, since he has already had a broken arm from being fearless.  
• Will is the best tooth brusher.  The others--ugghh--not so much!  It is literally like pulling teeth to get them to let us brush their teeth, but Will is super cooperative!
• They still enjoy all of their favorite shows and are still obsessed with Cars (especially Will), but they have added Mickey Mouse Club to their list of favorites.  
• They love saying "Boom Boom" which is the nickname of their Aunt June.  "Ti Ti Boom Boom" is the official name for Aunt June.

These are the only random thoughts that I can think of for now, but I imagine John could think of several more.

Reminding myself to post about getting locked into the boys room...

Happy Anniversary-7 years

I can't believe that I have taken so long to post.  I wish I could post more often, because I forget all the fun, little things that the boys do.  Lately, John and I find ourselves repeating all the cute words that they say, and then when it is time to write the words down--I can't remember what they are. Here are some favorite words at the moment...
"Weddy" means "ready."  Andrew loves to say, "weddy, weddy, weddy" when he is about to throw the ball to you or jump onto your lap.

"buddy, buddy, buddy" is said when he needs his bed buddy for nap time.

They love the word "car," and they say it hundreds of times throughout the day.

They are getting very good at counting to 20.

They still love singing songs--especially "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,"  "Popcorn Popping," "Wheels on the bus, " "Row Row Row Your Boat, " and so many others.

Some of their favorite shows are Elmo, Barney, and Bubble Guppies.  They love the movie Cars, and they have started enjoying Mickey Mouse Club.  They aren't as interested in the tv as they used to be, and I am very happy for that.  They have gotten very good at reading their books at night.  They love their Cars (of course) book, 5 Litte Monkeys, and the big board books with the different pictures.  They are great with their flashcards!

They especially love going outside and would stay out their all day if it weren't for the mosquitoes.  They got new bikes the other day, and they LOVE riding their red bikes.  They also LOVE to go to the pool.  They splash around and have so much fun!

Leen was here last week and she bought them their favorite car, Lightning McQueen!!!  We find ourselves hunting all over the house for the missing McQueen, since they all must have them if one does.

They still love to eat toaster sticks and cereal in the morning, and lately they have gotten really good at eating their cereal with milk in a spoon.  Before, they would just eat it without milk from their snack cup.  They also LOVE to peel bananas, and Andrew is pretty good at eating the banana.  Otherwise, I end up cutting and freezing a lot of bananas that they have peeled.

Mr. Will LOVES apples.  He wants to eat the whole core.  I need to get one of those devices, like Aunt Jean and Uncle Alan, that cores your apples.  He would eat the seeds and the stem, if he could.

Andrew likes grapes, but otherwise--we are working on trying to eat more fruits and veggies.  They like the bad processed foods that are so yummy and tasty.  :(  In fact, we have gotten too accustom to going to Burger King after the gym.  I know--that defeats the whole purpose.  Is it bad that they say, "chicken and french fries" as well as they say anything?!  I definitely need to work on this!  Uggh!

They have been more adventurous with  food lately.  Last night, they were eating a cheese sandwich and some vegetable dumplings.  That was a departure from their usual chicken nuggets, turkey meatballs, hot dogs, etc.  We are trying our best to branch out, but I must admit--I am not too great in the kitchen!  Poor little guys!

Favorite snacks are rice cakes, popcorn, goldfish, pretzels, dried strawberries, apples, and bananas.  Andrew loves grapes and Will, apples.

It's really funny to watch them play their guitar.  They say, "I wanna rock." like the Bubble Guppy characther.  Andrew bends one of his knees in rocker stance and puts on a rocker face while strumming!  Sam plays his guitar more upright, and Will likes to beat on his like a drum.  He is probably wondering when we will get him his drum set, since that is what he likes best!  ha!  We actually did see an amazing deal (on a guitar/mandolin combo pack)  that we put away for the distant future.

John bought me a wonderful Mother's Day gift--a really nice camera!  It's been sitting in the box, ever since. I cannot wait to use it.  I need more time to do all these wonderful things.  It's hard to do much outside our normal routine, but I am really looking forward to breaking it out, so that I can add photos to these blog posts.  I still do a pretty good job of keeping up with the pictures on www.clowneytriplets.shutterfly.com.  Maybe once the boys are in preschool, I'll have time to catch up on these posts.

Sam, Will, and Andrew are into everything at this age, and they are keeping John and I very busy and on our toes!  We love them so much!

Water fun!

Instead of writing an original post, I thought it might be easier to copy and paste the email that I just sent to John about the days activities.  After we got home from the gym, we had a little bit of water fun outside. Pictures to come!

Awww!  Well, speaking of smiles.  I got the biggest smile watching them get squirted with the water hose while in the buff.  Thanks to Sam they were all covered in dirt.  He was shoveling dirt over all of them.  Uggh!  Since I new we'd be doing a bath time, I decided to let them have a little fun first.  They were having a blast saying "ready" and then letting me squirt them and then running away.  It was hilarious to see their little cheeks all facing me, as they were running from the water.  Of course, they all wanted to take turn turns ("Anjoo's tun") squirting the hose.  Needless to say, it was not that easy convincing them to relinquish the hose to go to bath time.  Good times!  Anyway, so they should be pretty clean for the rest of the night, unless they get into anything between now and this evening.  I'll try to keep dinner on the clean side.

What a day!

Poor John got in at 5am this morning after going to Austin to see a band with his friend, Cory.  Then, this morning--we loaded up the boys to go to the beach with June and her family.  We ended up staying at the beach for about a half hour, because it was freezing.  The boys were  having fun splashing around, but we were bundling up with towels and sweatshirts, and we weren't able to stick it out for too long.  The 59 degree temperature wouldn't have been so bad, if it weren't for the strong winds.  So, we decided to go to Moody Gardens to the aquarium.  The boys had a really good time at the aquarium.  They have seen a lot of fish on the television, but this was their first time to see real fish.  They thought the Penguins were really neat!  It seems like it take me a while to load pictures from my camera, but I will try to do that soon.  After the aquarium, we went to eat at a seafood restaurant.  I guess all of the fish at the aquarium made everyone hungry for seafood.  Poor fish!

The boys took a nap on the way home from the beach, so they were ready to play again when we got home.  We went to the park, and they had a great time.  It just happened to be the neighborhood Crawfish Boil, so there were a lot of people at the park.  I gave the boys some cotton candy for the first time, but they weren't interested in trying it.  They did like twirling it around in the dirt and using the paper cone as a bat.  They had a really good time playing on the swings and slides, and they really enjoyed the tire swing.  It was hard to pull them away from the park, but I bribed them by saying that we could go home and watch "Cars."

After putting the boys to bed, John and I ordered some food from the Thai place outside the neighborhood.  He's cleaning out the car right now, and if we have time--we may watch a movie!  So, it's been an eventful weekend.  :)

Will loves his cars!

Leen has been in town, and she bought the boys some cars from the movie "Cars."  That is their favorite movie at the moment--especially Will's.  Last night, we all got a good laugh watching Will try to hoard all the cars in his hands.  He spent about 5 minutes trying to get 4 cars in each hands.  He kept dropping them, but he would continue to try over and over again.  It was so funny.  We were all laughing and cheering him on at the same time.  So cute!

Will is obsessed with Cars 2

It is official--Will is obsessed with Cars 2, but he hates Cars 1.  He could sit and watch Cars 2 for days, but if you even try to put Cars 1 in the player, he goes into a rage.  Oh Will, we love you, but you are a stinker sometimes!

"Grammy and Grans"

John just sent me a really cute picture with the caption "Grammy and Grans."  He took them on a walk to Walgreens, to play in the park, and then over to see Grammy and Granddaddy.  

Sam was not in the mood to nap...

Mr. Sam did not feel like napping today.  I eventually gave in and let him come down to our room.  He looked cute for about 5 minutes, and then he decided he would rather get up and cause lots of trouble.  Think they would notice if I slipped off for a nap, myself? 

Great Day!

Sam got his cast off today!  We were all so happy to see his little arm again!  He is still getting used to his arm.  He still hold his arm, as if he has a cast.  I imagine he will be back to normal in no time!  I am excited to finally give them messy foods again--like mac n' cheese.  John will be happy not to have to wrap his arm in a plastic bag for bath time!  Ahhh--we couldn't be happier!  More pictures to come soon.

Lately...

Lately, Sam has been getting up bright and early to come down to our room.  I actually look forward to it, because he climbs up in the bed and snuggles for a few minutes, before I have to get up.  I rush to get up, before the other boys start "asking" for their milk and breakfast.

The last few days have been a little longer than normal, since we haven't been able to go to the gym.  Also, Sam and Will have only been napping for about a half hour.  I usually look forward to a little longer nap.  6:30 -8pm is a long day with only a half hour break.  However, we had a pretty good day, still.

We were able to go to the park and tennis courts.  Here is a picture of Will giving me some love!  He loves wearing my sun glasses.

Big boys at the kitchen table

My mom has been telling me that I need to let the boys eat at the kitchen table.  Well, here ya go!  The boys seem to feel grown up eating at the kitchen table.  They could probably use a phone book to sit on or a booster seat.  :)

Andrew's monkey dance

I don't know if I have ever mentioned that Andrew has this little coy look that he gives, when he knows that attention is on him.  It's  hard to describe, but he sort of trys to put the corners of his mouth down, so that he doesn't smile.  He also trys to cover his top teeth by pulling his upper lip down.  Hopefully, we'll be able to get a good video of it sometime, or at least a picture.

Anyway, Andrew does this face all the time.  We all think it reminds us of my dad.  Lately, he has been doing the "monkey dance," and when we ask him to do it--he makes this face.  Then, he does the dance!  It is the funniest thing!  He is too cute!

Last week was quite a week.  We had a few visits to the doctor and one visit to the E.R. The good news is that Andrew seems to be recovered from his sinus infection and Sam has recovered from his ear infection.  Sam has also been a trooper with his new cast.  He doesn't even act like he has a broken wrist.  He surely is a sweetheart!  Hope they can all stay well for a while!  

Pet Shop

We took the boys to the mall on Friday.  They had a good time at the pet shop, and Will had the cutest giggle while he looked at the mice going around their wheel.

The boys love to get up early from their nap and play with the ipad.  Here are a couple pictures of Sam and Will playing on the ipad.  :)

Things we don't want to forget...

Andrew got up early during his nap time, so I let him play with the ipad for a little while. He was having such a good time, that when I told him that I needed to get Will--he said, "no, you iie down." He was pushing back onto my pillow. He does silly little things like that all the time, that make us realize that he is copying the things that we do. Some funny words that they say are "mir" which is short for "come here." They also say "mick" for "milk." Today, Andrew said "brother," and pointed to his brothers. They are all getting good at saying "no." Will has always loved to say "home" and he says it like "hoooooome," when we are almost close to the house. Those are the only things that we can think of for now. I don't know if I mentioned that they can open all doors now! YIKES!

I love my Mama!

I was so happy to be able to have my mom in town for a few days.  It is never long enough!  She is always so helpful to me--helping me with the boys, the housework, etc.  It's always so wonderful to spend time with her!! One of these days, I hope she will live right next door!!!
While she was here, we took the boys to the mall to play at the playland.  Afterwards, we took them to eat lunch at the food court.  They were pretty happy to be eating their chicken nuggets and french fries.  They look so happy and so cute!

It was pretty cold and rainy over the last few days, so we didn't do a lot outdoors.  

Mama was very sweet to give John and I a date night.  She watched the boys, while we went out to eat at Red Fish Grill.  We couldn't believe that our server told us that the couple next to us paid for our meal!!  That was an unbelievable surprise!  Their names were Jennifer and Greg.  We'll never forget that!  After dinner, we went to the movie.  We saw The Women in Black.  Many thanks to my mom and John's dad for helping watch the boys!  Can't wait to see you again soon, Mama!

Andrew

This isn't a very good picture of Andrew, since I took it with my cell phone.  In fact, it doesn't even look like him.  However, we thought it was too cute that he was up on the island checking out the cupcakes.  What a sweetheart!

Thank goodness for this triple stroller and thank goodness we live near a Walgreens and a Party City.  If we didn't have something within walking distance, we might get a little bored walking around the block all the time.  So, we usually venture out to Walgreens to get something that we need--or don't need.  Today, we went to Party City to buy some balloons, but the nice lady wanted to give the balloons to the boys.  They wre pretty happy about the balloons, even though Will doesn't look like he is happy.  He is only unhappy, because I stopped to take a picture.  He prefers that we are in motion at all times.  I like that he is wearing some of my shoes in this picture.  :)  We got a couple of honks from random people in their cars.  I guess I'd want to honk, too, if I saw these little cuties strolling down the street.  :)

This was a picture of Andrew with his new bangs--compliments of Dada.  When he comes down the stairs in the morning, he likes to take his time on the stairs.  So cute!  I can always see little glimpses of Granddad Keith, when I look at Mr. Andoobers.  He loves his little green froggy!

Sam Opens Door...oh boy!

I was sitting down working on some Young Women calendaring, and all of a sudden I hear a door open.  The first thing I thought was, "who is here opening a door? No one here knows how to open a door." Well, now they do.  Apparently, Sam knows how to open a door--as of today.  Oh boy, who knows what that will lead to.  Only time will tell.

Andrew falls asleep underneath Sam's bed

Every night, John goes to check on the boys after he does his reading.  Often times, he finds something that he thinks is pretty funny--so he comes and describes the scene to me.  One night, Sam was cuddling up to Andrew in Andrew's bed.  Sometimes, they are hanging half way off the bed.  Tonight definitely wins the prize!  When John didn't see Andrew in his bed, he started to get a little worried.  He thought maybe that I had taken him downstairs, because he was coughing.  Before coming downstairs, he checked one more place and found Mr. Andrew-- sleeping underneath the tiny space under Sam's bed.  It was the cutest thing ever!
